Meet our teachers

Teacher Stephen has been at the school for a few years now. He comes from a village up north. He teaches maths and the children really like him. He is very kind and patient.

Teacher Joseph. Joseph is one of Madam Roses brothers. He is 20 and studying humanities at Mulago University. Joesph doesn't get paid for the work he does at the school but is usually to be found there when he is not at Uni or looking after his chickens.
Joseph is very firm with the children - I used to think a bit too firm - but they all respct him and enjoy his lessons. He teaches the older children.
One day he took all their shoes away - because he thought they looked scruffy- and I couldnt find them anywhere. I even looked in the chicken shed! The children didnt have any shoes for days and it caused many arguments - much to the amusement of all the people in the village!

Meet our children

We had a visit from someone from the British Embassy and this is the children practicing to greet the visitor.
This is the children waiting at the school kitchen for lunch. Lunch is usually posha, which is flour mixed with water and heated up in a huge pan on a fire. Sometimes, the children will get beans with it.
This is baby class and top class.
